it's not even hackers, it's lamers and kids who like to make messes and watch other people clean them up. It makes them feel like they have power.
Thats just a conspirecy theory(that probably has some truth to it). In reality, spyware is usually made by websites and hackers trying to get your surfing habits and personal info. Viruses are usually made by people that do it just because they can.
