Does spyware protection protect viruses also?

I assume you mean do anti-spyware protection programs also protect you from viruses?

Unless the anti-spyware program explicitly states that it will protect you from viruses, odds are that it will NOT do so.

Some of the anti-virus (AV) manufacturers have started integrating anti-spyware into their regular programs.

But currently, most software protection against spyware does not also do AV and vice versa.

No. You have to down load antivirus programs. There are a number of antivirus and anti spyware in the market. Some are free and some are to be purchased. Please visit the following site and select a suitable free antivirus.

some ... most of the threats encountered are spyware anyway ... but an actual bad-boy virus that u inadvertantly open from an email or a bogus program u downloaded will most likely nail you ...
No it doesn't it only protects spyware
No, you will need an antivirus (just one), and at least two antispyware.
NO! ! ! !
In a very limited way, it might. Many spyware programs detect actions which could be considered malicious, and therefore could conceivably flag a virus as spyware. However, spyware protection does not offer any significant protection against viruses.
I assume you mean spyware protection. It doesn't protect against actual viruses. Mainly it protects against adware/spyware that can cause pop-ups.
no try Norton Internet security
some do and some not. this free tool does but you still need an anti virus also. http://spywareterminator.com they dont all cover the same virus at the same time so you need more than one. except you can only run one anti virus at a time. but can run several sptware at a time .good luck.
Some programs may cover both or kinda look for both but no overall you want to have a program that has anti virus in its name or whatever.
