My friends and family keeps sending them, so bugging and sometimes I click on them on accident.
The emails are annoying, ''send this to 12 friends if you don't want them to die.'' or ''if you don't send this to 13 friends you'll have bad luck forever.''

it is possible as some chain spams get forwarded around, if theres an attatchment than open it.
best policy is to scan the emails

well, of course they can have viruses but you can check them for a virus before opening them through your email program. Better safe than sorry...I usually just delete those annoying FW: emails, I have yet to open one that was actually worth the time it took to open it.....
Just hit the delete button and be done with it and ask your family not to send them to you.
