How do you reove the viruses off your computer, while in safe mode?computer virus

1. Boot or re-Boot your PC into safe-mode, this can be achieved by tapping the F8 function key at the top of the keyboard; when givin the option, arrow to the ''Safe-Mode with Networking'' and press enter.

2. When Windows comes up, log in as ''Administrator'', hmmm didn't know it was there; ya most ppl don't. This is the ''God'' account on the Windows XP Home, Pro, 2000 and 2003 systems. Vista has this account, but needs to be activated. There will be a box asking if you want to run safe mode, click yes.

3. Right click on ''My Computer'' and then left click on ''Properties.'' Click on the ''System Restore'' tab and click in the box to ''Turn off System Restore.'' Yes you really want to do this.

4. Goto the Control Panel. If you see about 8-10 choices, switch to classic view, you should now see about 30 icons or so. Double click the ''User Accounts'' icon, and remove the password from any account that has one. Close everything when your finished.

5. Goto ''My Computer'' and double click the ''C:..'' drive. It may have a link that says ''Show these Files'' or something close; find the ''Documents and Settings'' folder and double click it. Goto Tools, at the top, and down to ''Folder Otions.'' Click on the view tab, click the radio button next to ''Show hidden files and folder''; uncheck ''Hide protected operating system files. Agree to anything that comes up. You should now see all of the users on your computer, start at the top and open the first user, open the ''Local Setting'' folder. Now open the ''Temporary Internet Files'' and delete everything in it; back out one level and do the same for the ''Temp'' folder. Back up two folders and go into the ''Cookies'' and delete everything in there as well. Now do this for each user.
