Go to www.symantic.co.uk they have a virus checking and removal part of their website. But you should NEVER go online without an up to date Anti Virus Program AND an Internet Security Program. To do so is inviting disaster.

I run Norton both anti virus and Internet security, they are both good. There are free ones out there but as the old sayings go

1 If it sounds too good to be true it probably is.

2 You get what you pay for.

Since I do a lot of banking and financial on mine I want good security, and would never run on a wireless network, they are not safe either.

It is quite simply rare, if at all possible, to remove all and any viruses from your computer with just one anti-virus program. this is because different anti-virus programs have different protection definitions that it uses to check against existing viruses.

the answer is not to install multiple anti-virus programs, because you render your computer un-usable, eventualy anyway. but you should get a strong anti-virus program that will not allow any virus to get in the first place by giving you subsequent control on what running on your computer.
