How do bacteria compare to viruses?

Bacteria are much larger than viruses, and are LIVING organisms, while viruses are technically not alive, since they do not grow or react to the environment in the classic sense, and they cannot reproduce on their own. Viruses can be prevented using vaccines, but we do not have drugs to fight them once you;ve been infected. Viruses are much simpler; they are only composed of a protein capsid and nucleic acids (sometimes include lipids), while bacteria are quite varieted and though not as complex as plants, animals, etc, they are pretty advanced too.
