Do bacteria really get viruses? Is this because of the sin of Adam and Eve eating the fruit?

Yes, bacteriophages are viruses that infect bacterial cells. This process has actually been used to treat cattle infected with the E. coli bacteria sucessfully. Viruses have been an important tool in evolution, some of our DNA contains traces of viruses that appear to be important in speading gentic diversity. Bacteria infecting viruses have been around for much longer then 6'000 years, so Adam and Eve could have had nothing to do with it :P

Yes we can infect bacteria with viruses. Viruses that infect bacteria are called bacteriphages.

It's not because of the sin of Adam and Eve eating the fruit. It's how it is meant to be.
