SpyWare can certainly steal information. Sometimes it is as simple as sending a copy of what is transmitted over the web. If the site you are attached does not have SSL (that little lock symbol at the bottom of the screen) then your information is in the clear and a SpyWare program can copy it.

There are also Viruses that can log your keys and send that to unscrupulous people. Normally Viruses are set up to turn you computer into a spam robot (redirecting spam to others and hiding the original sender's address).

AdWare is not going to steal anything, it is just going to annoy you with ads.

I don't know what a BadWare is. But it sounds bad. :-)
